- Remote print queue management: If you have a lot of printers of the same model and need to make the same configuration change on all of them, you can save time with Distribute print queue configuration.
Improvements
- Printix Administrator and Printix App now displays who is signed in.
Example: Signed in as John Smith. - Click the new Help icon in the top right side of Printix Administrator to display a short context sensitive description (in English) and links to relevant sections in the Printix Administrator Manual.
- Networks icon is now conveniently positioned on the menu bar of the Printix Administrator. On the Networks properties page you can click the new Computers tab to see what computers are on this network. If you check Show only unknown networks you can click a gateway's IP/MAC address to open the Gateway properties page to see what computers are using that particular gateway and Select network to add it to an existing or a new network.
- Knowledge about what Windows and macOS editions are running on the registered computers, are now used to dynamically adapt the content of the Drivers tab and Filters. That way, you will only be presented with the few, relevant ones, for example: Windows 10 x64, Windows 7 x64, and macOS 10.13.
- You can now see the number, status and type of Tasks for each computer. For example, you can see if your Update print queue request is pending (perhaps because the computer is offline), or if it failed (perhaps because the print queue was deleted).
- Synchronize groups from Azure AD will now update the group name and description if these have changed in Azure AD.
- The Dashboard's Printed in black and Printed 2-sided graphs are now solely based on printers' meter readings. Before they were based on documents printed through Printix.
Fixes
- Using Internet Explorer to open Printix Administrator could result in only the text: {{TenantListService.currentTenant.getTrialExpireNotificationText()}}.
Known issues
- Printers registered before 2017-10-17 are listed without a Created date on the Printers page in Printix Administrator.
- On Windows, when you open the Control Panel, Features and Programs and click Printix Client the Product version is that of the initially installed Printix Client.
- Translations are made with the use of Google Translate. Please inform us about improvements for translations.
