Versions (2019-06-21)
- Printix Client for Windows version 1.3.442.0.
- Printix Client for Mac version 1.3.433.0.
- Printix App version 1.3.6.
- Printix for Chromebook version 1.0.0.42.
New features
- NFC tag support. Use your phone to scan the printer's NFC tag and release your documents. Works with native Printix App version 1.3.6 installed on Android phones and Apple iPhone 7 and above with iOS 11 or later. Sign in as System manager in the native Printix App on an Android phone to register the printer with NFC tag. Apple iPhone does not support writing to NFC tags, and therefore can not be used to register NFC tags. Scan NFC tag to Print all matching documents. This way you do not have to first select documents, as scanning the NFC tag will print all your anywhere documents and any print later documents for the printer that match the scanned NFC tag.
Improvements
- Improved performance of Printix Administrator through use of background processing.
- Printix Client is better to detect if Printix Cloud is offline.
- Power BI Report. Improvements and new report: Printers – Service Status.
See also: Version 1.2.0 release note on Github. - Print anywhere with universal print driver. If you have a homogeneous printer fleet, you can choose to change print driver for the Printix Anywhere print queue to a preferred universal print driver that works on all your registered printers. This way you can get some control of finishing options. See also: How to configure anywhere print queue to use universal print driver.
- New See what's printing dialog in Printix Client shows a list of the users' documents the Printix Client is printing, including Printer, Document name, Pages, Size, Started (time) and Status.
- Error dialog in Printix Administrator now include debug information (Endpoint, Method, Request ID, and Date).
Fixes
- Under very rare conditions, involving bidirectional communication, a document would not be printed, because the connection from the Printix Client to the printer terminated abruptly.
- Closing the Printix Client's initial Sign in dialog without signing in would (if the Printix Client installation file had been renamed) prevent subsequent sign in attempts. Now subsequent sign in attempts will ensure the Printix Home is set if it wasn't previously.
- Deleting a print queue from the Computer properties page did not work if Print queue naming was set to Printer name without print ID.
- Printix Administrator could get stuck loading data if the token of the signed in user had expired.
- If data extract was stuck in Working on it, it was not possible to Deactivate and Delete the data extract. This is now possible.
Known issues
- On Windows, when you open the Control Panel, Features and Programs and click Printix Client the Product version is that of the initially installed Printix Client.
