Versions (2021-09-17)
- Printix Client for Windows version 1.3.1065.0.
- Printix Client for Mac version 1.3.1065.0.
- Printix App version 2.0.18.
- Printix Chromebook version 1.0.0.87.
New features
- Implementation assistant introduced in Printix Administrator to simplify and reduce the steps needed to implement Printix.
Improvements
- Printix Go. Improved Sign in pages with better utilization of touchscreen estate. Before the screen got a bit cluttered when the Sign in method was set to Card or ID code as it had to fit both the virtual keypad, explanatory text and graphics. Now the Sign in page features an ID code button used to access a new page with a virtual keypad that better uses the screen size.
- Document names can now become part of data extracts. Check Include document name in data extract on the Analytics tab on the Settings page.
- Printix Go configuration has been enhanced with a new Email sender field. Before when using a printer's Email function, Printix would always prefill the From field with the email address of the signed in user. However, this can cause some SMTP servers to reject the sending of the scanned documents. Now you can type a default sender email address in the Email sender field and this will be used as the sender rather than the email address of the signed in user.
- On the Printix Client menu (Windows only) it now shows which method the user signed in with. Example: Sign in as another user (Signed in with Microsoft as John Smith). The sign in method is also shown in Printix Administrator, Printix App and Printix Partner Portal. Example: Signed in with Microsoft as John Smith. Besides Microsoft the sign in method can be: Google, Okta, OneLogin and Email.
- On the Computer properties page you can now select Test connection to test if the computer is online or offline.
- On the Users tab on the Group properties page you can now select Synchronize to manually synchronize the users.
Fixes
- Printix App version 2.0.18. Updated the process of releasing documents by scanning QR code or NFC tag.
- Printix App version 2.0.18. It was not possible to remove a printer as favorite if that printer was also the last used.
- Printix App version 2.0.18. The Cards and codes page will show PIN code disabled if this is the case. This happens after three consecutive failed sign in attempts. Reset PIN code requires you to choose a new value, otherwise it will show PIN code must be different from the current.
- Printix App version 2.0.17. Releasing documents by scanning QR code or NFC tag could in some cases abort the release and result in an error.
- Printix App version 2.0.17 for Android and iOS/iPadOS. Selecting printer by scanning QR code or NFC tag could, when no documents was selected, result in the documents being sent to the last used printer instead of the selected printer.
- Printix App version 2.0.17 for Android and iOS/iPadOS. Selecting printer by scanning NFC tag did not set that printer as the last used printer.
- Printix App version 2.0.17 in a Firefox browser now has the Search on the Printers page working.
- Printix App version 2.0.16 for Android fixes issue introduced in version 2.0.15 that on some phones could cause the Printix App to crash during start.
- Printix Go. The Forgot code link has been moved to avoid appearance of vertical scrollbar on small touchscreens (Epson 4.3" and 5").
- Printix Go. On Konica Minolta bizhub C558 documents did not get listed on the Print page.
- If the Via the cloud option On selected networks only was used, Printix Client could unintentionally create duplicate print queues and did not always behave according to the configured Add print queue automatically and Remove print queue automatically.
