Incident report
On 2021-11-04 (Thursday, November 4th. 2021) at 08:44 CET we received support request concerning issue with submitted documents not being available for release. We also got an escalated PagerDuty alert at 08:52 CET and at 09:04 CET we got PagerDuty alert indicating delay in processing requests. Analysis showed that the Group Service had used all its threads leading to decline in performance of the system. More ressources was added to the Group Service in the form of CPU and memory and gradually the performance rose and at 10:35 CET we announced the issue as resolved.
Actions
- On 2021-11-04 at 14:30 CET production was updated with corrected Group Service where only groups in use was read from the database.
- On 2021-11-04 at 15:08 CET production was updated as it turned out that the throttling mechanism for getting updates to Printix Clients was not working as intended as an concequence of recent code changes.
