Improved onboarding. Once you sign up for a trial a new Setup assistant will guide you through the installation on the first computer. When you start Discover printers within the Setup assistant you can now follow the progress as printers are registered. At completion the Setup assistant will present you with a summary of your findings. Rather than forcing you through a strict onboarding path, the remaining onboarding steps will appear in turn as buttons to the right of the Printix logo. This gives you the flexibility to explorer Printix Administrator before you decide to proceed with the remaining steps. Complete the remaining steps via these buttons:
Setup sign in method button will open the new Setup tab on the Authentication page. From here you can easily add and enable sign in methods, for example Sign in with Microsoft or Sign in with Google.
Implementation button will open the Implementation assistant which simplifies and reduces the steps needed to implement Printix.
Subscription button will open the new Subscription page where we have made it easier to enter billing information and add a credit card to start subscription after trial end. This is relevant for direct customers only, as customers onboarded via our partners are billed through the distributor/partner in question.
New start trial page. When starting a trial from our web page, we will request contact information, information about number of employees, and require that the entered work email is validated. Sign up with email is the only method supported from our web site going forward. This is to ensure we can communicate with you and assist you to a successful trial. Sign up via Microsoft and Sign up via Google is no longer supported from our web site but these and other sign in methods can easily be added by selecting the mentioned Setup sign in method button. For now Sign up via Microsoft Azure Marketplace and Sign up via Microsoft AppSource is still supported and will connect to your Azure AD automatically.
The Authentication page now includes a new Setup tab that shows a summary of the enabled sign in methods. From here you can easily add and enable sign in methods.
On the Users page you can now see the Sign in method for the user, as this is now represented by an icon (Microsoft, Google, Okta, OneLogin and Email (Printix account)
To make it easier for users to register cards without a phone, the Printix App will now, when invoked with the string string: ?registrationCode=FORGOT_CODE, also open the Enter code field on the Cards and codes page.
New Power BI Report version 1.4.7 with separate reports relating to Home office printing. The reports: "Job - History Home Office" and "Cost Home Office". See also: Version 1.4.7 release note on Github.
Printix App is now using the device's default browser during sign in. This has been reported as fixing Sign in with Microsoft issues for Azure AD accounts managed with Microsoft Cloud App Security (MCAS) or Azure AD conditional access.
2021-11-25: Sign in seems to not work for some customers using Printix App for Android version 2.0.21. Please update to version 2.1.2.
