Printix end of support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 is coming during the fall of 2024. We want to give you this information, so you can prepare for this. Rigorous tests has been performed to establish that all services in the Printix Cloud, including Printix Administrator, are working with TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 disabled.
Printix Client for Windows
Computers with Printix Client must be configured to use TLS 1.2.
- On Windows computers TLS 1.2 is enabled by default if .NET Framework 4.6 or later is installed on the computer.
- Computers that may not have had TLS 1.2 enabled originally but support it now after Windows updates include: Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2.
How to enable TLS 1.2 on a Windows computer
Note: The above also applies to computers running Printix Redirector and Printix Configurator.
Printix Client for Mac
Computers with Printix Client must be configured to use TLS 1.2.
- Printix Client for Mac requires macOS 10.12 or later.
- TLS 1.2 is enabled by default in macOS 12.
- TLS 1.2 is supported since macOS 10.9.
- TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 were deprecated in macOS 10.15 - 12.0.
Printix Go
Printers with Printix Go must be configured to use TLS 1.2.
- Epson (Refer to the manual that came with your Epson printer)
- HP and HP Workpath
- Konica Minolta
- Kyocera
- Lexmark (Refer to the manual that came with your Lexmark printer)
- Ricoh
- Xerox (Refer to the manual that came with your Xerox printer)
Printix Chromebook
No action required.
- Printix Chromebook requires Google Chrome version 63 or later.
- TLS 1.2 has been supported since Google Chrome version 29.
- TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 were deprecated in Google Chrome version 72 (Current stable version is 105).
Printix App for Android
No action required.
- Printix App for Android requires Android version 9 or later.
- TLS 1.2 has been supported since Android version 4.1.
Printix App for iOS/iPadOS
No action required.
- Printix App for iOS/iPadOS requires iOS/iPadOS version 14 or later.
- TLS 1.2 has been supported since iOS version 5.
- TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 were deprecated in iOS 13.0 - 15.0.
- TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 were deprecated in iPadOS 13.0 - 15.0.
