New features
- Printix Go HP Workpath. Integrates with your printer's touchscreen control panel, offering secure print release, card-based authentication, copy control and more. Supports HP printers and MFPs that are compatible with HP’s software development platform Workpath. Printix Go HP Workpath needs to be installed on the printer from HP Command Center, followed by a subsequent configuration to make it work with your Printix Home. The configuration is done from Printix Administrator by performing an installation of Printix Go.
The existing Printix Go HP launched in 2020 uses HP’s device layer in the Open Extensibility Platform (OXPd) and the installation and configuration is handled solely within Printix Administrator.
Both HP platforms (Workpath and OXPd) are supported, but only one Printix Go must be installed on your HP printer. You may want to check list of supported card readers and cards. - Printix Go Kyocera. Integrates with your printer's touchscreen control panel, offering secure print release, card-based authentication, copy control and more. Supports Kyocera printers and MFPs that are compatible with Kyocera’s software development platform HyPAS (Hybrid Platform for Advanced Solutions) generation 2 or later, Java VM 1.8 or later, OSGi Release 4 or later, and the WebKit browser. You may want to check list of supported card readers and cards.
Fixes
- Printix App version 2.1.9. Secure print configuration with selected Secure print level groups were not handled correctly. For example, if you had set the global minimum secure print level to level 0 - None and then for one or more groups had selected level 3 - Must sign at printer, it would apply level 3 for all users instead of just for the users in the added groups for level 3. Fix is coming to Printix App for Android and iOS/iPadOS in the next release.
- Printix Go Ricoh issue with long document names. Fix made in Printix Cloud and effective since 2022-10-12.
Known issues
- Printix Configurator may give error message: Login failed (get token). Please download and use Printix Configurator version 1.3.1250 (released on 2022-12-22) or later.
- If you get a blank screen or are no longer able to access the Printix Administrator (acme.printix.net/admin), then you should clear browsing data.
- Documents submitted via Universal Print are tracked as 1-page documents.
- Printix Go Epson. Upon entering a wrong ID code (and/or PIN code) the Epson printer says: (ec-204) Please try to reload the page or contact your administrator. Disconnecting a card reader will not remove it from the Printer properties page.
- Printix Go Kyocera. The version number is not shown in Printix Administrator.
- On Windows, when you open the Control Panel, Features and Programs and select Printix Client the Product version is that of the initially installed Printix Client.
